Almost Finished : :

Black & Whites + Ruby Star Shining

I always love looking at the before fabric bundle photo next to one of the finished quilt top -- It just seems kind of magical!

My boys claimed this one right away, which means I should probably make two. They were so excited by it, which is a rare thing these days! They're quite used to all my making now and are becoming very hard to impress. So I'm thrilled! Especially since my stitched blocked are full of little sayings and song lyrics that are so special to us.

For My Boys!

Here they are! In a quick and happy photo taken from this past Easter weekend in my husband's hometown.

My Boys

Those smiles are the perfect motivation to get this finished today!

B & W Back & Binding Thank you all so much for the help in deciding! I'm so happy I went with a quilt!!   Maureen

Improv Scraps Quilt

I chose to enter my Scrappy Improv Quilt because of what it means to me. I shared in my original post how I see this quilt as a "functional scrapbook" of all the many little projects I have made since I began to sew. When I look at it, I can see each of them, which is really special!!

Creating this little Improv Quilter is one of my most favorite sewing sessions ever! And I love seeing her in the corner when we're cuddled underneath this quilt!

Scrappy Improv Quilt

I actually just packed this quilt and my others in preparation for our move. Sharing this post and looking back on how it all came together, was just the thing I needed to take the time to do today. I have been so busy packing and trying my best to keep up with everything else, it was nice break. I'm grateful now that this quilt will also be a keepsake for us to have of our time spent together in this house.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I encourage you to check out the other entries in the Festival, you are sure to be inspired and still have time to enter one of your own! Maureen
