The AGF Community Sampler!

I'm so excited to share the AGF Community Sampler with all of you today!

When Sharon and I were planning out this year's sew-along, we reached out to Art Gallery Fabrics to invite them to sponsor our event. They happily signed on as a generous sponsor, offering several bundles for us to Giveaway, and we were extra thrilled when the talented ladies who make up the AGF Team let us know that they planned to follow along and make a Community Sampler quilt, as well!

Throughout the sew-along AGF has shared there beautiful blocks using Art Gallery's Splendid Fusion collection. How could there sampler be anything but gorgeous with this colorful, pretty collection!

Each week, in addition to seeing the blocks made by Sharon and all of you who joined us, I so looked forward to seeing AGF's beautiful Splendid Fusion blocks and which of the AGF Team members would be stitching it up with the help of Meli, who took the lead with this sew-along!

It was so nice to see all these happy faces and their gorgeous blocks. For some of these ladies, it was their first time sewing a quilt block! Be sure to check out the AGF Blog to see their Sampler posts and to read a little bit about each of the AGF Team members who joined the sew-along. It was great to get to know them all a bit better throughout the Community Sampler!

Their Splendid Fusion blocks are SO pretty, it's impossible to choose a favorite!

I'm so in love with this quilt top and I can't wait to see how it looks quilted!

Happy Monday! xo Maureen

A Flower Child Chained Nine Patch Tutorial by the AGF Studio!

Chained Nine Patch Block in Flower Child

It's no surprise that I'm a huge Art Gallery Fabrics fan! I'm one of their full collection designers and I love this job more than I could ever share. But before becoming a designer for AGF, I was a huge fan of the brand. Their fresh modern fabrics, the beautiful quality of their substrates and their fun marketing style is so special. In my opinion, Art Gallery brings something truly unique to the industry that I'm honored to be apart of. I hope, like me, that you feel that there's something exceptional about what AGF offers!

My AGF Stash

What you may not know is that there is a team of women who work for a division of Art Gallery Fabrics know as the AGF Studio. This group of ladies are so, so talented! They're the ones who keep up the AGF Blog and social media accounts, who plan and implement the amazing International Quilt Market booths, who create projects for our collections and Lookbooks, and so much more! Over the years that I've been an AGF designer, I've been able to become friends with many of them and I hope if I share more of their work here, that you will enjoy getting to know them, too!

Today I want to share with all of you an AGF Studio tutorial for a Chained Nine Patch quilt block featuring prints from my Flower Child collection -- Sisterhood, Sprinkled Petals Sun, Blooming Ground Luscious and Pixie Dust Glow!

How to make a Chained Nine Patch Block

On Art Gallery Fabrics YouTube channel you can find a huge collection of quilt block video tutorials, called the AGF Quilt Block Collection. Be sure to visit both the AGF Blog post where Meli, a super sweet AGF Studio designer, shares all the details behind this most recent addition to the collection, HERE, as well as the YouTube video for this pretty Flower Child fabrics block!

If you give this block a go, be sure to add the quilt block collection hashtag #AGFQuiltBlockCollection and my collection hashtag #FlowerChildFabrics when you share! We can't wait to see!

Bundle LOVE : :

Yesterday, for about an hour, the most glorious light gleamed through the windows of my sewing room. I had pulled this bundle of fabrics from my shelves earlier in the day. Plucking through the moody blues and soft peach prints in my stash, setting them on my ironing board with the large piece of Hello, Bear Summit in Twilight print leftover from my most recent quilt finish. A perfect match!

In the sun light they looked too pretty not to photograph and share with all of you!

Bundle LOVE!

This bundle is a medley of collections ~ most of the dark blues are from Pat Bravo's brand new, modern Essentials II, two from the new Pastel Thrift collection by AGF Studio, the rest are Bonnie Christine prints from Hello, Bear & Forest Floor, with my very own Fleet & Flourish Lace in Bloom, and a few Pure Element solids that coordinate.

Sweet Peach & Moody Blues

I especially love the shades of peachy pink, cream, & apricot!

I put together this quick mosaic including each print from my bundle, followed with the collection & print name of each, just in case these fabrics inspire you, too!

I added in two new AGF denims above, as well. I'll likely be using these beautiful denims in most of my quilty projects from here on out, as an alternative to a solid or blender fabric. I love them so much! Have you tried them yet?

Now I just need to decide what to make with this pretty bundle, hmn...
