Naupaka Flower. Embroidery. Pillow : :

I started the Naupaka flower embroidery two weeks ago and showed you my progress last week -- Saturday night, it was finished! If you haven't noticed, I really like framing my embroideries on pillows this way --- see exhibits A, B, and C.

This pillow is a gift for my sister Catherine, who lives (much too far away) in Hawaii.

These next two photos were taken after the sun was behind the hills --- not the most ideal time for picture taking, but  most perfect for enjoying this cozy spot on the ground.

and so we did...

So, I'm sending it off to Hawaii...

and wishing I was coming along. Someday. Hopefully soon.
