I created a tutorial for a kite themed nursery floor pillow using Riley Blake's new Fly A Kite collection by October Afternoon. You'll find the step by step tutorial for making this large floor pillow, and even steps for making a smaller version, on the RBD blog today (tutorial to be posted at 9am MST right here). ReplyDeleteI thought I was the first commenter, but by the time I commented i wasn't....so, anyway, I'm busy designing my first quilt and want to have it completed to use on my front porch this summer. Oddly enough I'm planning on using Fly a Kite because the fabrics are just so cute and summery!
DeleteA major goal for me this year is to learn to do some paper peicing! Very intimidating, to me :)
ReplyDeleteMy immediate sewing goal is to finish a quilt for my niece's wedding - I want it to be something she will treasure forever, so it has to be special!

ReplyDeleteOne of my sewing goals this year is to do a little more paper piecing. I really enjoy its results, but find the process so time consuming and wastefull of fabric. Just gotta get over my "scrimp and save every last scrap" attitude ;-)
I only started sewing and quilting last summer but want to design and make a celtic-themed quilt for a wedding gift for my cousin this summer.
