A New Tutorial and { RBD Fabric GIVEAWAY! } : :

It's Riley Blake Design Team Wednesday!

And, I'm super excited to be sharing my newest project as part of the RBD Design Team today!!

My newest tutorial is for a quick, easy, and affordable Polka Dot Rugby Stripe Pillow Sham, made up of some of RBD's wonderful Basics, their Small Cotton Dots and Basic Solids!



I'm currently in the planning stage of decorating the bedroom of my two boys. It's a huge space and they have very specific ideas of what they each want. Before I begin to tackle the more themed out, detailed items on their wishlist or begin shopping, starting out by making each of them some classic bedroom staples, using simple, boy-ish patterns and colors, is very doable -- and rewarding!

My stash is full of great Basics, which is so very handy for whipping up projects like this one. And, after comparing what the cost in materials for a sham just like this is to a store-bought version, the cost was less than half the price!! Besides, Mama-made things are much more special, don't you think?!
