Binding & Destash Day!

Two beautifully long arm quilted quilts arrived back from Sew Shabby Quilting Melissa this week, my Emmy Grace and my Autumn Sun quilts! Today's plan is to make my binding and finish them up for hopeful picture taking this weekend!

Quilted with flowers & loops

At noon (EST) I plan to do a second Anna Maria Horner destash!

AMH Bundle Destash

I stayed up extra last night bundling some more of my precious out of print Anna Maria Horner fabrics to offer in a second little destash today. The last time I had a scrap bundle destash right here on my blog and although it worked out well, I'm going to give my Instagram a turn this time. Be sure to follow me over there if you're interested!

AMH Scrap Bundle Destash

Each scrap bundle will include approximately 1 yard of colorful AMH fabric scraps by weight and will vary in prints from several out of print collections. They are $15 a piece plus shipping, and I have just 20 bundles to offer today. All bundles will be shipped first class with tracking at $4 for USA residents. International friends are welcome to these scraps as well, but I will have to send the bundle in a flat rate envelope so the package is track-able, which is pretty pricey.

AMH Bundle Destash

These will ship today for those of you who would like one and can pay right away. I'm offering just one per person this time and am not able to take any requests as they are already packaged into my mailing envelopes. Please join me on Instagram at noon EST, leave a comment with your Paypal email address to claim, and the first twenty to do so will receive an AMH bundle!

Is sold out!

Thank you!  ♥ Maureen

  3. Why is it so expensive for a bundle? Even quilt shops in the US aren't $15/yd. I do realize some are out of print but that still seems expensive.

    1. The bundles took me more three hours to cut, weigh, photograph, etc.. they are made up entirely out of collections from 2012 or later and include more expensive substrates -- voile, sateen, and flannels as well as quilting cottons.

  7. I should have set an alarm as well! Damn! I'll be on the lookout for next time! LOVELY destash though! You always have such great fabric!

  8. Have you considered donating your scraps to a charity that makes quilts for victims of domestic violence instead of selling them? There are women and children who could use a little cheering up by receiving a quilt.

    1. I mostly give finished items, rather than materials. Selling my scraps occasionally is just one small way that I am able to continue doing this as a job. Thanks!

  9. Gees, people! The fabric is hers to do what she want with...give away, sell for whatever price she wants or to use to make quilts for the homeless cats and dogs if she wants. Why all the Negative Nellie crap? Anonymous (coward), if people think the price is too high, they won't buy and it is none of your business. Quilt Fabric Pizazz, you have your charity and most quilters have their charity...you give what you want to your charity and we'll give what we want to our charity - don't try to guilt someone into doing something you think they should do. Sorry, Maureen, but these "persons" are so darn rude online - wonder what they are like in person!! You do what you want with your material, and more power to you!!! You are so very sweet in your answers to them...I would have deleted their comments and ignored their rude posts. Getting off my soap box for now!

  10. Well, I appreciate you, you have no idea! This, and each of my previous destashes, have all been triggered by a cash emergency of some sort and I get that I share my highlighted reel both here and on my social media, but there's still a monthly mortgage to pay and endless medical bills of my own that I burden my entire family with monthly, so where I'm so, so, SO grateful for all the amazing blessings that come my way in the form of fabrics and quilting supplies, that stuff just doesn't pay the bills now does it! :) Some times people forget that we are all just simply doing the best we can! XOXO

  14. Hi Maureen, I missed out on this one because I don't do Instagram, but I am looking forward to your next destash. I liked the bundle I received last time. Most of the smaller pieces went into a string quilt I made to practice FMQ. I have bought destash from several people online and although there have been a few small pieces I didn't care for, I love the mystery, and I love being able to get a variety of fabrics to play with and work into my projects. Hope you've had a wonderful weekend. :)

  15. Oh, after reading all that nonsense I forgot what I wanted to comment about! Haha! I was hoping to see a pic of your Emmy Grace quilt, or did I miss it somewhere? I looked back a number of posts but don't see it. It looks lovely from the bit you showed with the Autumn Sun one, but that's just a tease!
