Chicopee Patchwork Pillow

Last night I decided to make some pillows. It's been such a long time since I've taken the time to make a simple patchwork, quilted pillow. The last ones I remember making were these, using some of my very favorite Cloud9 Fabrics. These new ones are made from my scraps leftover from my Chicopee Triangle & Colorblock quilt, my favorite collection to date by designer Denyse Schmidt. They're densely quilted using a white Aurifil 50wt and measure either a 12" or 14" square. I decided to add them to my esty and I'm offering a free insert with each right here if you're interested!

Thanks for stopping by today!    Maureen

  4. Your stitching shows up nicely... what did you use besides a pillow form on the inside? a light batting perhaps? Love the fabric combinations!

    1. Yes, I used a layer of my favorite cotton batting to make a nice, sturdy quilted cover. This was also my first time binding a pillow cover and I especially loved that detail!

  17. Pretty, pretty. I realized yesterday that I need some new pillows for the couch in the library and lucky for me, I have fabric that will work. Not all I need is more time.
