Postcards from the Beach

I've taken so many photos already, I've been sharing lots over on Instagram, and I'll be sure to share more here, as well!

Before we left for our long road trip I decided to bring along my floss stash for a new needlework project. It's been way too long since I did anything stitch-y!

Floss

I quickly pieced together two Indie prints with some RK Essex Yard Dyed Linen and a strip of my favorite AGF Pure Element, Empire Yellow.  I've really enjoyed having this relaxed embroidery project to work on here and there, and I'm loving how it's coming together!

Stitchy

I'll be sure to share more later in the week!

More stitchy progress! #indie #patbravo #stitching #henselvaca2013

I'm off to see who's won my most recent Giveaways! Be sure to stop back Wednsday and Friday for two more!!

  10. Your embroidery is beautiful and surely want to see the finished stitchery...My older sister taught me to embroider and she actually had me rip out stitches if they were not small enough! All of my life I've learned different types of handiwork, but always go back to embroidery as it gives me much pleasure and has helped me through some difficult and sad times...truly believe we have a mission to keep our hands busy. Do not forget we want to see what your hands accomplished during your vacation.

    1. It is, the houses down here in Nags Head, NC are amazing! My parents, my siblings, and our families all get a house for a week that's big enough to accommodate all of us. It's so fun!!

  12. Maureen that is such beautiful work. Is that just normal print fabric you are embroidering over or an actual embroidery pattern?
