This little fox was the perfect thing for me to sew, right now. Orange & pink is such a fun combination and one of my favorites when it comes to shopping and making for little girls!
I'm not sure who this fox pillow is for, it was a custom order that just happened to come at just the right time!
After I finished the pillow, I moved right onto making my most favorite crown of crowns!
They look pretty together, I think!
Yesterday, I went to pick up some sewing supplies and flannel for scarf making, and decided to experiment a little. I brought home a yard of each cozy blue flannel, super soft off-white fleece, and some gray sweatshirt material to combine with my new Art Gallery voiles. I plan to use my Simple Scarf Tutorial for lots of holiday gift scarf making very soon!
I'll be sure to show those off once I do, and I can't wait to see and share how the voile and these three different materials stitch up together.
How about, what are working on these days?! I would love to hear!!

I love that little fox pillow! It was the first thing I saw when I cane across your blog for the first time and I will always associate it with you! It is my favorite thing!
ReplyDeleteThank you Stacey! Each time I make one I think, "I really need and should be making many more of these!" It was just the happy sewing fix I needed today!
DeleteGorgeous!! I'll be interested to hear how you get on with those fabrics - I could do with one of each with this cold weather! ;)
ReplyDeleteI just relooked at your scarf pattern. Did you use the flannel for warmth or for weight? I'm in Central Texas and I might melt if I used flannel!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa! I used a light weight flannel, for warmth and comfort. The voile is super buttery soft and the flannel is cozy. I thought it was a nice combo and I love the weight of the finished scarf for Fall and for layering in the Winter months. I wear a lot of wool, living in North Western Pa, so the scarf feels a little light to me!

Remember that scarf you made a while back? Ive been wanting to try one so today I found a charm pack full of florals and baby blues that I will sew together into a strip, then back with some soft cotton or minky or flannel or velvet for my Moms Christmas gift. She always appreciates a handmade gift! LOVE the fox and your black thread "sketching" to outline your shapes!
ReplyDeleteThat fox always gets me...love that little guy. I just finished my favorite quilt of all time -- pictures at http://www.fabricmutt.blogspot.com/2012/11/memory.html.
