First, I have to say that today IS my birthday -- my 30th birthday actually! Ooooh, that's a big one! We had such a celebration last weekend for my husband, plus I have a nasty cold right now, that I just want to do something relaxing.
Yesterday, thanks to some thunder that delayed our swimming plans, I was able to do a little afternoon sewing. I decided to make the apron I had mentioned in my last post, writing down the steps as I went. I hope to make another this weekend, using those instructions, taking pictures as I go, for a tutorial to share sometime this coming week.
Here's a little peek...
As I was tying the finished apron on my form for picture taking, my son hollered up to me, " There's a big box on our porch!" Yes, my camera was here! Looking through the new lens I took notice to all those little details that make you love something.
The colors... That yellow is my favorite!
The design... So pretty I am not sure which side of the strap I like best!
The details... I would love to see a fabric full of these little circles!
The print... Just beautiful!
From my five Loulouthi prints, all 1/2 yard cuts, I still have enough fabric to make that second apron, with lots of scraps left for a patchwork pillow and/or a few scrappy patchwork pin cushions. I say that's $25 dollars well spent at Pink Castle Fabrics! Keep an eye out next week for my Fabric Lover's Apron Tutorial!!!
I love it! That fabric is really cool!
