well... I don't knit, but I sure would love to learn! This is just the kickstart I need!
ReplyDeleteI love this giveaway! i'm currently attempting to knit a scarf. it takes so much for me to commit to finishing a scarf when I'm knitting. It probably comes from the fact that I don't know how to knit very well and I'm scared of knitting patterns!
ReplyDeleteI am already a blog follower :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you will need to stock up your shop for the Christmas season!

Looks interesting! I don't knit personally, but my mom does, and I'm starting to feel bad that whenever I need something knitted, I call her! I guess I should try it again ;) This giveaway looks like just the thing to get me started, or to gift to my mom as a thank-you for all the scarves and hats and socks she's made me over the years (plus learning lots of new patterns whenever I come up with something new I want!)

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for hosting! My friend Jacki (ChristieCottage) told me about this giveaway.
ReplyDeleteShh... don't tell anyone, but I actually crochet more than I knit. ;) But I still love knitting and the motion of the process.
I gave you a ♥ on Etsy! (Shop name: roadtogrinnell)
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous bundle of goodies! Thanks so much for the giveaway. I can already picture some winter mitts and hats I'd make.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a quick knitter, but my grandmother loves getting projects from me to make for my kids and I love getting them from her ~ she's in her 80's and going strong!

Hi Maureen! Cecilia learned how to knit at camp over the summer and is teaching me...! It's a fantastic way for us to spend some quality quiet time together since the gardening season is over! It's amazing the things that I discover about her when the TV is turned off and we are sitting around the living room! Our plan is to try out a few projects over the winter months (easy stuff like scarves) :) We'll see how it goes! We could get really good at it with all of that awesome knitting stuff... Well, maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit :-)
ReplyDeleteI am crossing my fingers! I would absolutely love to win this and I could make most of my christmas presents!

I do not knit yet, but would love to learn. I am currently a crocheter. I am working on a puff stitch hooded baby blanket. I got the pattern off lion brand's website. It will be a pistachio green color with a cream border and hood. On the hood will be an embroidered frog.

ReplyDeletewhat a fabulous giveaway! Seriously. Recently a group of mama friends and I decided to farm a knitting circle - where the experienced knitters could teach the inexperienced. I would be the inexperienced. I'm so looking forward to our regular gatherings. Children underfoot, yarn in our hands.

A little knitting story... when I was younger I took a class at the library to learn how to knit! My mother always wanted to learn too, so she ended up taking the same class recently. After years of mother helping daughter, it's finally my turn to repay her!
ReplyDeleteI also follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm still learning but I can knit a mean scarf ;)
I'm hoping to get more practice in the future by knitting oodles of baby items.
My current knitting story: I taught my close friend (an active woman who loves to be outdoors rather than sitting still and working with her hands) to knit, and together we made a diagonal garter stitch blanket for her friend's baby. Seeing her excitement and her sense of pride at finishing the project was so worth it for me.
ReplyDeleteEach one, teach one, they say, and I am glad I was able to teach someone the way my friend Cathy taught me!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE knitting (and crocheting) . . . my knitting story is that my mom taught me how to crochet while I was in middle school and a couple years later, I wanted to learn how to knit, so I could finally use the knitting needles my aunt had gotten me when I was younger. Since my mom couldn't remember how to knit, I borrowed a book about knitting from the library and taught myself. Thank you so much for the chance to win such an amazing prize!

Oh I would love to win! I decided about a week ago that I wanted to take up knitting. I used to do paper crafts and jewelry as a hobby, but since it's become a business for me I wanted to start something that would just be for me. Knitting is what I chose. I can't wait to get started, and I think this would be such a great start to my new hobby! Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI just became a facebook fan.
