For Now : :

It's been a rough few days. Our little guy Jacob started with a flu last Thursday, ended up going to the ER over the weekend, so very sick, and was admitted into the hospital for a mysterious, severe GI infection and Colitis. I've never seen a child so sick. Thankfully, we are back home now, but what a scary ordeal. It's going to take some time for him to heal up from all of this and I'm going to be right by his side while he recovers. As a result, I'm really behind on orders, blog posts, and my Quilt Market plans, but that's okay. Right now there is nothing more important.

It's a beautiful time to be here in Potter County, this time of year the Fall foliage is amazing, and today it's perfectly sunny and cool. If he feels up to it, maybe we'll take a little drive for fresh air and quilt pictures this week. I have a bunch of Quilt Market Fleet & Flourish finishes to share, including two newly finished quilts I've been sharing peeks of on Instagram and Facebook.

I started a third just before what we thought was just a little bug turned frightening. I do hope to work on it and all the catching up I need to do, when I get a little time and while he naps, but for now I have to lower expectations of myself, keeping up the best I can, while letting go of all plans.

If I'm back soon with something photographed to share, that means things are looking up. Take care, friends! ♡ Maureen

On the Road : :

Best bag I've ever packed!

This morning we're packing up and are heading South to VA Beach for the week. My etsy shop is closed for now and will reopen with a sale on Thursday! I still plan to share some newly finished projects here on the blog, along with my weekly Fabric Giveaway. I have two finished quilts, lots of new crown designs, pillows, and the holiday apron I made yesterday all to share, so be sure to stop back!

See you then!!   Maureen

Isn't it amazing??!!

I found this beauty yesterday for such a steal! It's completely hand sewn!!

by hand

It's made of these scrappy triangles and sewn into hexagons. Such a marvelous kaleidoscopic image!

Yes! Thrifted Quilt

How fun is this one! Brights with a dark charcoal-y gray!

Now I have questions --

-- it smells a little? But not too bad, just like something really old. Do you have any ideas for laundering?

-- what to do with it? Finish it? It's so special I don't want to ruin it! What would you do?

And, can I just say that my husband is truly all that is this Handmade Ryan Gosling business. So much so, that he actually checked out the photos and captions with me the first day I noticed the Ryan Gosling images popping up everywhere and we laughed so hard together. He is so supportive and amazing and really does know just how to speak right to my crafty heart!

And, now he's going to kill me! hehe
