An Impromptu Sewing Session... from the mind of a seven year old : :

This morning while I was in the sewing room finishing up some new orders, I had a little helper, as I usually do. He was playing around with my sheets of felt, paying close attention to how I was making my felt flowers. He folded the felt in half and wrapped it around his head, "Can I make a funny hat? I have an idea." Using the same technique I had just used for the flower making, I listened, while he told me what we needed to do.

In just a few moments we had something brilliant, adorable, and hilarious!

Gnome Home Pillow : :

I have been busy working on several new pillows for my etsy. Each with their own fun theme from what I've been seeing in my children's play, stories, and drawings lately.

Gnome Home Pillow

This one, my Gnome Home Pillow, is made of soft wool felt with hand stitched, Sukie Iron-on, and ric rac details.

The reverse side has an envelope style closure with a little Tufted Tweets fabric. I love this Birds on dot print so, so much!

You can find more details about this pillow available here, if you'd like.

I mention lots how my kids have so much to do with most of what I end up making. Around here I'm never lacking inspiration -- just time!
