Last week we headed South to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for our annual beach vacation. I had every intention of popping in to share a quick couple of blog posts that I had planned in advance, but it was much too beautiful to be on the computer at all, the weather was perfect, and we kept busy. Busy playing in the ocean and in the pool and in the sand. Busy eating lots of yummy food and making drinks all day long. Such fun, I tell you! It was a wonderful break that provided just what I needed -- a gathering of inspiration, some much-needed refueling, and a little bit of letting go.
Now that we're back home Kevin and I have a long list of house/yard things that need done before this Summer season ends, and I certainly have plenty of sewing projects I'd love to tackle, but our Summer fun to-do list is even longer and it's time to get serious! Before school starts, before the leaves fall, there's still plenty of time for more playing in the water and for picnics and for ice cream cones and for enjoying Summer's beauty.
I wish you all the best in the Summer days to come! ♡ Maureen
What beautiful family, and area to relax and renew your energy.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly what I thought the Outer Banks would look like! Great photos of an awesome vacation.
ReplyDeleteJust got home from Duck today. Where was the house you stayed in? It looks beautiful...as do most of the houses on the Outer Banks!!!
ReplyDeleteWe were in Duck last year, this year in Kill Devil Hills. We try to switch it up each year, just to experience different beaches and parts of that beautiful area!
DeleteThank you for posting your pic of the shore! I miss the ocean and was instantly calmed just by looking at them. Glad you spent some good quality time with family! That is what Summer is all about!
ReplyDeleteIt looks magical! So glad you had too great a time to be on your computer! xxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeus photos, Maureen! Looks like you had perfect holidays! x Teje
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Moments to cherish!
ReplyDeleteYou need to stop and smell the roses with your family while they are young enough to enjoy these fun times with you. Work can always wait until these are done. They will always remember these experiences with you and not your work.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more! :)
DeleteWe just got back from a week in Corolla, NC with all the family. Great weather all week - only rained at night. It is such a great place to relax and enjoy the family, ocean and sunrise.

How beautiful on the beach on the photo! I'd love to spent a couple of days there: to explore the area, to swim in the sea, to sunbathe on a sun lounger you can look here, to mingle with the locals. The sea is wonderful.
