Confession, taking pretty outdoor quilt photos in winter weather isn't that much fun for us! We snapped a few at the park just one street over, but the rest were taken back at home where it's nice and warm!
This is the princess castle quilt I made for my niece Josie, her request! It was such a fun one for me to make, I loved the chance to work with such a sweet, princess-y fabric pull and color palette!
I started with a few princess fabric prints from the Once Upon a Time collection by Alexander Henry, added in a couple dainty florals from my stash, some pastel polka-dot prints, and the rest are stripes and geometrics mostly from Cloud9 Fabric's Simpatico collection!
It's another quilt made using my quick & easy quilt as you go method. The flappy shutters and pendant flags at the top of both towers were fun details to add and I do love this Riley Blake Half Inch Stripe gray & yellow binding!
It was a big hit with Josie, I'll show you that soon!!
Once I photograph and share the Marvel Comic quilt, I plan to do a little 2013 quilt show and tell, review of sorts, hopefully early next week!
Happy New Year, friends! ♥ Maureen
