My Rock 'n Romance String Quilt As You Go quilt top is finished and I am loving it! I had to pop in to share a quick peek! My backing and binding fabrics should be here this week -- I can't wait to see this one finished!
You can find my tutorial for making and sewing my blocks together here -- http://maureencracknellhandmade.blogspot.com/2012/10/a-quilt-as-you-go-tutorial.html
And, on how to finish a QAYG quilt here -- http://maureencracknellhandmade.blogspot.com/2013/02/an-improv-lillybelle-quilt-quilt-as-you.html
Thank you, Christina!! I'm still not sure where to take this one for picture taking -- I'm going to have to consult with my photo shoot team, a.k.a the kids & Kevin! :)
Thank you! For this one I actually used two different size rectangle blocks and have a fun little twist saved for when I share the finished quilt. This one came together super quick and was very easy, I'll definitely being sharing a how-to, just as soon as I finish the last of these gift quilts!
Very pretty. I am amazed how fast you can put together a quilt...a bit jealous also, I must admit. Your color choices are always right on and your designs are beautiful. Always fun to see what you are making next. Great job!
Thank you, Kathleen! Oh, please don't feel jealous. I work very late into the night or I get up extra early just to find the time to whip these up and still have time for my etsy orders, blogging, and my family. It's a lot of work! This blog and my etsy is my job, so I put everything I have into it! I get so much energy from the wonderful feedback I get from nice people like you. I couldn't do any of this without you!! :)
My only machine is a 1950 Brother and I cannot "quilt" quilts so I usually tie them but now thanks to your tut I used your Quilt As You Go Method and I finished my giant start quilt top just now! Thank you for all your inspiration! -Jes
I love this and wish you lived near me so I could take a class from you! I hope your niece realizes how wonderful you are to put something so pretty together for her. She's lucky!
Maureen you are amazing. I have to wonder if you get any sleep, but however you manage to be so creative and get so much accomplished, I am always inspired. Thank you, again, for continuing to share with us.
How do you put together a quilt as you go quilt?
