New & Finished : :

I had a really productive sewing weekend, and I'm excited to share it all throughout this new week! Of course, I have no clue where to begin. Gosh, I took so many pictures over the weekend! Before I do share any of them, I want to start by quickly saying thank you for being so generous and sweet with your comments lately. It's the greatest feeling and motivator to know that all this making I do, and that all the time it takes to share it all here, might mean something to more than just me. It's wonderful and I thank you!

On Thursday I found a new piece for my sewing room that I really, really like. I plan to use it as an inspiration board eventually. For now I'm using it to encourage some long overdue finishes! Which is working!!

A little new for the sewing room!

Time to turn this one into a finish!

After finishing up some crown orders on Saturday I finally turned my "Stitch Sketch" girl into a finished quilt top! I hope to share all the details tomorrow, but here's a peek!

In the Sun

In the sunlight I could easily see the imperfection of my stitch sketching, and I actually think my mistakes are beautiful. Hoping the recipient of this quilt agrees.

I finished up my Tsuru & Pure Element Quilt top, as well! I stayed up late Saturday night until it was done! I'll be sharing it with a special Tsuru Giveaway on Valentine's Day!!

Tsuru Quilt Top -- I can't wait to share it later this week with a Tsuru Giveaway!!!

Besides lots of crown making, I have plans to finish a few more wips this week. First in line is already hanging on my new inspiration board! And, I've already begun work on yet another quilt. This time, Chicopee was on my cutting table, and the laborious task of turning this gorgeous collection into a high stack of triangles is already complete!

Chicopee fun!

Today, I've got Ray...

and some crown-making to do!

Happy Monday, friends!! Maureen

p.s. I just tried to "Pin" some of my photos and it won't work?? Does anyone know how to fix that?? Thanks!  Problem fixed! Pin if you're interested!!

    1. The kids are with me, or around me, the entire time, often making something of their own. With temperature being so cold and us being indoors this much, there's so much more time for sewing/crafting. I do love Winter for that reason alone!!

  7. I love the stitch sketching, too. I wish I could have been as productive as you this weekend, but here in Massachusetts, productivity was only measured in how much snow we could shovel. No power for a good bit, too, so no sewing.

  14. Don't you think great music -like Ray- make quilting and sewing much more enjoyable? "I've been saved by a woman" you tell them Ray! Love him and all your sewing! Thanks for the tips and pictures!!

  15. Beautiful! Can't wait to see it. Looks like you are going to have a productive week and I hope that I do as well. I've begun putting borders on my Sampler blks so that I can learn to free motion quilt each one and then learn to put the 20 blks together to complete the quilt. I won't get mine done this week but hopefully over the next month I will.

  17. You seem to have some kind of block on your images to where no one can pin them. Check your settings on your blog, maybe you have it set that way accidently. I love your butterflies, I can't wait to see the finished quilts!

    1. Hi Missy! I noticed that myself, looked into it, and a friend told me that she found in the Flickr Forums that there is something wrong currently with being able to pin images that are shared through flick, like mine are. Hope they fix it soon!!

    1. I was referring to the wrinkles and slight pulling I got around the eyes from the heavy stitching! :) The outdoor sunlight shows it much more than I could see indoors. However, I kind of like it?! :)
