Organizing & Planning : :

I have just a few more photos that I wanted to share today of my shelf organizing! The hours are flying by faster than ever and I can't seem to remember to stop and take any pictures until after dark each day, which happens way too early this time of year for us blogger's doesn't it?! So... all my photos have that not-so-lovely, blurry, orange-y glow, but I'm still going to share them anyways!!

This morning, I feel like by next Monday I will be ready and excited to give a little tour of the rooms I have unpacked. I can't believe I still have to plan Thanksgiving today, ahhh!!!

What I really, really would love, is to share a little series right here of what I make for each of the rooms. Maybe a weekly or bi-weekly sewing project or craft, specifically for decorating a home? I have lots and lots of ideas and plans!! All I can think of right now is to call it, "Handmade Home," but that's already a book on my shelf! lol "Making a Handmade Home".... "Creating a Handmade Home"??? Got any ideas???

Thanks in advance for the help!! And, for all the sweet comments yesterday and always! This is truly an amazing time for us right now! All the well wishes and support from you all, our community, and family has been so, so wonderful!! Thank you!

  4. Laura knocked it out of the park. No way I can top that...but I do have a question. Why are there a pair of pink tennis shoes in your fabric cabinet? Feel free to tell me it is none of my business, I am just curious!

  10. I love it--it already looks like you've lived there forever. In a good way--like homey and eclectic and established. I can't wait to see your new series. And I agree that Home Made is a great title!

  12. I think you've got your answer already! Just in case, what about MAureen Cracknell Home Made or Cracknell Cottage or Cracknell Cottage Crafts?

  13. Okay here in the U.K. we have a program called 'Homemade Home' and I think that would be a perfect name. I love the woman who presents it - her name is Kirsty Allsop and she is amazing. The first year she went and did various crafts, the second year she did up a home she bought and that was awesome, last year she entered all kinds of competitons of things she had made and this year she is doing another series called Home Made Home! PERFECT IMHO

  16. Home Sewn - kind of a twist on Home Grown? I would love to read a weekly post about your adventures in decorating your home :)

  17. How about instead of Handmade Home you use Home, Handmade?

I'm so delighted to hear that you are all moved into your new home. Exciting times, for sure. Busy times. Remember to take good care of yourself and your family.

With good thoughts coming your way...

  18. I think all the name suggestions are good. I don't know how you get unpacked so quickly. I'd still have boxes all over. Probably still have one or two from 20 years ago that haven't been unpacked! Maybe it's time to take a trip to Goodwill?!

  23. Happy and Home Made? I love the framed 'Cracknell est 02'. Such a great idea - is it 3D or prints?

  24. Love it. Yes Laura's suggestion is great.

MY warped Aussie sense of humor instantly thought "A Cracker Home" (as in Cracknell and being 'cracker' or great - awesome- wonderful.)
