A Little Break : :

I'm having a rough couple of days. I was hoping this would be brief and that I wouldn't need to be mentioning anything here, but now my left eye lid is very swollen (from what, I don''t know? my husband thinks I was probably bit by something), in addition to a few other problems I've been dealing with and wishing away.

Folding Fabrics

So.. I've decided to quit ignoring everything my body has been telling for a week or so now and I'm actually going to take a little break today!

Sewing Room

Here’s wishing for a relaxing, stress-free day today for ALL of us!
I'll be back tomorrow with something new to share!

  3. It's so hard when your body is telling you to do something and you want to do something else. You are in my prayers and I pray for a restful, relaxing and an enjoyable day for you and your family!

  14. Definitely stop and listen to your body (says she that's ignored her a few times of late and been proverbially sat on her arse as a consequence) enjoy as many days as you need to feel totally better, then you can come out and play again :o) We'll still be here (you don't get rid of us that easily ;o) )

  15. Do you have "noseeums" (no see 'ems) in your part of the country. Believe it or not, it is really a teeny, tiny bug that bites....

    A little "R & R" is always a good thing, tho.

  16. Oh Maureen, I hope you're feeling much better very soon. We moms tend to put ourselves last a lot but it sounds like your body has decided to retaliate a bit. Hopefully it will all work its way out quickly!

  24. Take care Maureen. Hope your eye gets better. My mum got a swollen eye when she was stressed out about organising my sister's wedding. Could it be stress? Breathe easy. xo

  25. Hang in there! You should get your eye looked at. I wouldn't mess around with anything on or near your eye. Could be allergies...tis the season (which sucks). Hope you enjoy a nice relaxing day.

  26. Take care of you- go read something fun- not sewing related and enjoy the break. Love the pics of your sewing room btw!

  27. My husband gets excema on his eyelids. Red, swollen, painful, hard to keep eyes open but usually happens to both at the same time(usually during stressful situation). There is a medicine(cream) for it now but he used to just do the bag of frozen peas on his eyes to help and wait for it to get better. Not saying that is what you have, just know you are not alone and hope you have a relaxing day and get better soon.

  30. Hope you benefit from your rest. Whenever I get bitten by a mosquito while asleep, they always head for my eyelid and my whole eyelid and surrounding area gets very swollen so I can hardly see out. Try an anti-histamine - it should help.
