Come On In : :

This little room of mine is finally starting to come together. It is very much a work in progress, but I thought I would share a little peek of my space with you today and as it changes along the way. It's pretty much a blank canvas...

AMH fabric
yarn shelf

I actually feel a little nervous and a bit shy about sharing it, isn't that silly? I guess because it's nothing fancy, like so many of the studio's that I have seen (here, here and here) and admire, and also because this space means so much to me. To be honest, I've been stalling on photographing it - I'm not a fan of the blue paint or carpet and was going to wait until I had art up on the walls, new curtains, and was hoping to have my new camera first. But... here it is. My little room.

    Bright fabrics and yarns...cheery.
No matter what the space, it's yours and creative...that's what is important.

  15. I just clicked over from Flickr and wow! I'm glad I did because all the extra pictures are fantastic. I think we get overawed by all the perfect spaces that others have to work in. You've done a fantastic job of making your space cozy and workable. The yarns and vintage spools are great eye candy for me. Not to mention your stash of AMH out on display. Great job!

  16. It looks very nice! And any craft room is inspiring to someone like me, since my husband and I are completely remodeling/rebuilding our house! I do have a room destined to be a craft room, but all I can do right now is dream about it!

  19. I love it - it is so cheery and warm. It just invites you in. The larger fancier studios sometimes look a little cold.

  24. I realize this post is over a year old, but thank you for sharing. I don't have a sewing space, I have a one bedroom apartment. I have been sewing for over 40 years. I downsized almost three years ago, and I still struggle with how to organize so I can find my tools for sewing! Since January my dining table hasn't been used for dining. It's pub height, seats six, and is my sewing/cutting area. My ironing board is set up next to that... You won't see my sewing space on my blog! But any peeks at what works for someone else is appreciated! Plus I like that you've re-purposed items for your room... since I'm all about that!
