A Week Of Owls : :

Well, it's been one week since we started this giveaway and I can't began to tell you all the excitement it has been bringing us. I know that many of you who follow are creative people, as well --- It just means so much to me to be able to share the details of my crafting with you and to have this place to tell you all how much making these handmade items together has improved our family’s lives. I always thought that I would be drawing or painting, but having my children awakened me to the desire to learn to make simple crafts, to knit, to sew, to learn new things, and to keep on learning, always. Creating for and with them has made me mindful of the materials we use and has given me the need to take care of this world of ours, for us and to teach us. They allow me to do what I love, to create items from their art, for them, and for other children like them. I am so grateful to have them as helpers and for the constant, unbelievable inspiration they give me.

The kids are always eager to help with choosing the yarns and the fabrics, and so it's only fair that they get to name them. They were stumped for a little with this one and were just throwing out adjectives to describe her. Then I added that the fabric is called Nicey Jane by Heather Bailey and Jacob through out the name - Daisy Jane Owl

This is a tiny owl I made, just to try it out. We decided the only thing we could name her was - Minnie Owl
One week of Owls! Thank you so much for joining us here. I'm very excited to share the next batch, starting Monday!
We're going to be very busy celebrating our Jacob's 6th birthday!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend! ~ Maureen
