Feeling Stitchy : :

I was thinking Sunday night about the different blogs I have visited and loved, to add to my growing list down at the bottom right, and I remembered Feeling Stitchy. Before adding the link, I checked out what was new over their way and I saw this awesome volkswagon beetle embroidery - posted by chunkychooky, created by pepper stitches, and free for all!
I loved it immediately and quickly sketched it on to some new linen, waiting to be embroidered. I have "a thing" for simple illustrations like this, of subjects we all love. And, I love quick, easy projects that always feel good to look at. I mean, who hasn't dreamed of having their own VW bug?
I plan to make a small cushion with it for a little 4 year old friend of mine, who loves cars and numbers. It was his request that I add the number 99, but I am not sure where to stitch it just yet...the door or the hood?

    Great little embroidery .... The door , that's where Herbie's number is , right???

    My friend had a VW bug right out of highschool and it was a blast . I had a VW squareback for a short while, maybe I will have to post the story to that car on my blog :), just the other day while I was taking a dog walk, I passed a house that had a squareback and thought longingly about my old car.
