This past Wednesday afternoon a box containing my Nightfall strike offs arrived on my front porch! The anticipation & excitement this time around has been intense. There's nothing quite like taking those very first sample fabrics out of the box and seeing & feeling for the first all the work that went into creating the collection. I carefully folded and arranged each piece, snapped a few photos to share, and the response has been so amazing!! Thank you all so much!

These are the fabrics I will use to create ALL the samples for my Quilt Market booth at International Quilt Market in Salt Lake City, Utah in May. Quilts, bags, pillows, & garments... With the show being just seven weeks away, I wasted no time beginning my very first Nightfall quilt!
I recently shared this "Night Air" sketch on my Instagram that became three different Nightfall prints. Since the teal and smoky gray-blue tinged colorways are some of my very favorites in this new collection, I decided that would be the perfect place to start when making this first quilt.

I'm actually remaking one of my very favorite quilt patterns, the Autumn Sun quilt I made for my nephew Sebastian in September of 2014. Rather than creating the radiant, sunlit version I made the first time around, this time I'm using the beaming moon & nightsky as my inspiration!

This moon phase print makes me so happy! It's been nearly a year since I scanned in my sketch with big hopes that it would make it to printed fabric one day. It's so simple, I know, but it's still one of the designs I wanted the most, to have to add into my own sewing projects & to be able to share with all of you!

There's so much Nightfall goodness to come, as I continue to prepare for Quilt Market. I think I'll share just a weekly post with little peeks leading up to the show. I still have so many Fleet & Flourish projects in the works, I don't want to get ahead of myself.
I hope you'll enjoy following along!
