My Quilts : :

I'm embarrassed to admit that it's been more than two years since I last refreshed my blog -- my banner, photos, and each of my pages. I've been overwhelmed by just how outdated I let things get. When I saw that a few of my friends recently shared some snippets from my "About" page, as I read it, it felt like a lifetime ago. Oh how things have changed for my little brand. So much is such a dream come true and worth noting. I won't have time to spend the days it's going to take to bring everything up to date all at once, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't start. Of course I had to begin with My Quilts!

Although there are quite a few missing -- the ones I've finished and didn't share, several quilt tops waiting for their turn, and a few I hope to share very soon. Below are all of the quilts I have completely finished, photographed and blogged, not in perfect order, including my very first quilt finish in 2011. I wasn't truly hooked until 2013, but once I was there was a major shift in my space here. I started blogging more regularly with a focus on original quilt work, I had found my passion. The synthesis of your encouragement and the constant inspiration that comes from each new fabric collection continues to intensify my love for quilting. I'm excited to carry on adding each new quilt, to have this page to share how my style might change and how I might grow artistically.

So please click through, each quilt image will lead you to the full post & photoshoot, with all the details from fabrics to pattern info!

If you have a standout favorite, I'd love to know! Many of these quilts are ones I've yet to release a pattern for. I'm always holding onto hope that both time and the right opportunity to share more patterns will present itself. I'd also love to know how long you've been quilting and if, like me, you're keeping track?

Happy Monday! ♡ Maureen

  2. When I look at your work I see fun. I like your creative style. If I had to pick one that I like the most it would be the one with butterflies and the girl. The creative side smiles. Thank you for sharing.

  6. You have a beautiful body of work. There is not one that I would not be happy to have in my home. I hope that most of them still reside with you.

  7. Your applique art quilt still totally amazes me. I only hope to be that talented one day. My other 2 faves are the butterfly quilt, and your herringbone quilts, especially the winter one. I have made my own based on your tutorial using Amy Butler fabric.

  8. I love all your quilts for their bold colors and creative designs.....but the bold gold diamonds on your crisscross diamond quilt and the aqua pops of color in your typography quilt are among my most favorite design elements in your quilts!

  9. Choosing a favorite was not an easy feat, but I finally decided it was your Rainbow quilt. After reading your post and going to the quilt along, it definitely was my choice. I know a little of what you are going through updating. It has been quite a long gap in my blogging and I am finally getting excited about it once again and blogging more frequently. But my blog definitely needs a complete face lift and so much added. It will take me quite a long time. Have fun with your updates and changes. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful creative day!

  11. I think the modern sampler would be nice. I like the idea of a sampler, but the thought of grandma's quilts sort of turns me off. I quilted for 20 years and then just stopped for 12 years because I thought it might send me over the edge to do another grandma quilt. So now that I've come back to it, there will only be colorful modern quilts for me

  12. How about a pattern for all of them? I love everyone of them and it's way too hard to pick a favorite. I was trying to figure out how you pieced the Diamond Zig Zag Quilt. For the life of me I couldn't. Guess I'm not a pattern writer. Lol

  17. Wow, such an amazing display!!! =D

My favourite after much agonising has to be the Follow the arrow quilt, it just speaks to me =)

I've been quilting in my spare time (of which I've sadly had very little due to my company) since 2009, and loving every minute, it's kept me sane sometimes when work has been too overwhelming.

  21. I really like the Rock 'n Romance Diamond Strings quilt, but it might partially be due to the colors ;) I also like Wild & Free New Diamond Strings, Arizona Herringbone and Friendship Diamond. It's really amazing to see all in one post!

  24. They are all too beautiful to choose just one! Love your designs. I have been quilting less than two years and am still a novice but have completed 18 quilts so far. They have all been gifts so after the recipient receives the quilt I post a picture in an album on my Facebook. I intended to make a notebook detailing fabrics, pattern, etc. but alas I am 18 quilts behind. I make a ten inch block commemorating each quilt and some day will make a quilt for me from those.

  27. I have always loved your quilt with the girl's picture. It inspires me to go off from patterns and create something unique. I also love the quilt done with Nordika fabric.
I have been quilting off and on since I was in college when someone in my dorm showed me how to tie a quilt.

  28. I'm digging the Autumn Sun quilt. Simple but really effective use of colour and blocks. That one has definitely inspired me! I've been quilting for about 4 and a half years now, in fits and starts. I think I have most of my quilts (which were mostly made for little people in my life) photographed somewhere. Now I'm blogging, too, I should probably dig those out and do an inventory. Again, thanks for the inspiration :)
