Power Sewing : :

I woke up this morning so ready to get back into my regular routine, and just after the kids went off to school, the power went out? Gah!! Well, it's finally back on and I have so much sewing to do!

I finished up the last of my pillow orders yesterday, mailed some things out for Quilt Market, and moved right on to my crown orders.

Fox Pillows

Birthday Crowns

I'm hoping to find some time to add some new, felt-y things to my shop soon. Like this felt flower headband I recently made Haila, she loves it!

But first, I must continue plugging away on my orders today, keeping my most recent fabric splurges close by my work area to keep me on task and dreaming of what they might become.

Mecca for Moderns by Alexander Henry from Contemporary Cloth!

Today's happy mail! #meccaformoderns #alexanderhenry #contemporarycloth

And that lovely Text Me Maybe bundle from Stash Fabrics, you might recognize it from one of my recent giveaways, along with my favorite Shelburne Falls plaid!

Happy Mail from Stash Fabrics!!

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!! Maureen

  1. Your felt things are really cute!

  2. How inspiring to have those lovely fabrics close by when sewing, they look gorgeous!

    1. I know it! I can't wait for the chance to cut into them, but that seems so far away. I have never been this behind on projects and orders!

  3. Love the flower fabric ~ what line is it? Always love to see what you're doing.
Are you coming to Portland? Wouldn't that be fun (I live here)!

    1. Oh geez, I'm going to have to update my post to include the links, I am so scatter-brained these day, can you tell? :)

The florals are Mecca for Moderns from Contemporary Cloth

and the Text fabrics are from Stash Fabrics --

I SO wish I was coming to Portland, but it just didn't work out.

  4. May the light be with you!
LOVE your new stash fabrics. And those fox pillows are the cutest.

  5. My heart might have started to beat a little faster at that texty bundle! Looking forward to seeing what they all turn into :o)

  6. Lost our power here too. I heard it affected the entire area from Coudersport to Towanda! We're half-way in between...

  7. That Text Me Maybe bundle is amazing!

  8. Can't wait to see what you do with those stacks of fabric! Can you make a horse to put on your crowns? I'm thinking I'm going to have to order one for my daughter's 2nd birthday in Sept. :)

  9. I would certainly be inspired with that fabric close by! The flowery headband is cute!

  10. I am extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with
the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did
you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the excellent
quality writing, it's rare to see a nice blog like this one today.

  11. Really liking that Text Me Maybe bundle. Your pillows are very cute and those crowns - wow - what child wouldn't want to be king or queen for the day.

  12. you should be happy that i don't live next door to you because if i did i PROMISE your stack of texty fabrics would go missing... ;) xoxoxo

  13. Hi Maureen,
I have a question.... I saw a great felt project that I want to try to make for my kids. I quilt, but I have never used felt before. Do I sew felt the same way I would sew fabric on my machine? or is it better to hand sew it? Also, in your Etsy shop do you sell large pieces of felt?
Thanks so much, I heart your blog,
