Crown Cuteness : :

I've been busy making Birthday Crowns! Sometimes making all these crowns can seem pretty repetitive, particularly my most popular crown style. Then other times, the variety of cute applique opportunities I receive is so, SO fun and enjoyable! These are the orders that seem to come at just the right time, giving me the relief I need from the monotony!

Sweet Little Owl

Today, I'm feeling caught up just enough to work on my Carnaby Quilt. I do have two, new quilt ideas completely planned out -- a solids quilt made with only Pure Elements and another with Shelburne Falls, that I can not wait to begin!

How about you, what are you working on this week?    Maureen

  2. Wow, Maureen! Those are fantastic! Do you use wool or acrylic craft felt when you're making something like this?

    1. I use a high quality wool blend felt, it comes in a beautiful range of colors! I actually just recently started selling this same felt I use to make these crowns and my applique pillows, in my etsy shop!

  5. I LOOOOVE Sophie's! My stepdaughter Allie would love that with the raccoon. That's her nickname. Wonder if that's appropriate for a 25 year old! LOL

Her birthday is next week. :)

  10. Maureen, you are just brilliant in your crown designs!! They are all so cute, and you do such a good job on them! Love your little owl, the train, the birds and flowers: I haven't seen one that I don't like! The only thing I can't figure out is how you have time to make them, be a mommy, keep your house clean, and do other sewing!! Is it coffee, or just natural energy! :-) Have a great weekend!! 1. Basically I'm working 60-80 hours a week at home to avoid having to work a 40 hour a week job, that I couldn't possibly love as much, away from the home! LOL It feels crazy lately, but I do still love it!!
