Hey friends! I had the weekend's giveaway all ready to post yesterday morning, but late Thursday afternoon we had some very unusual and scary weather that left our little town in rough shape, without electric and internet. I'm actually still without at our house, so it will be a little bit still before I can respond to my emails. SO.....without further ado...

ReplyDeleteOoh I do not like that kind of weather at all. I'm glad it wasn't worse than it was and really hope you get the power back soon. Not having power is the worst. It seems it never fails that you will attempt to turn something on at least 2-3 times throughout the day even though you KNOW there is no way those things are going to work without power and then you feel like a dingbat. LOL We had a very bad, yet fast moving storm that came through our town that caused a lot of damage the day before you got those storms. Most of our town was without power, around the corner from my house lightening hit a house and kept our fire dept busy for much of the early morning. And then three other areas of town had huge trees down blocking roads with one being a State Highway that runs through our downtown so that one had to be cleared asap. We lost power for only a short period of time and then it came back but the other areas of town were without for the entire day and some overnight until Thrs. Our neighbor's yard looked like a minefield of tree limbs because his tree is dead and refuses to admit it's not our tree. I hate that tree and am just waiting for the day it decides to fall and very much hope it falls toward his house. It has been dead for almost 20 yrs and each storm loses more branches usually in our yard. :( But should that tree fall toward our direction, depending on the direction it falls, it will take out our cable lines and either crash through our front porch where our very expensive hot tub lives, or take out the wall in our living room which will include my husband's and my desks that will take out our entire home network since it lives on hubby's desk OR take our kitchen out. Secretly I'm hoping it takes out the kitchen because I hate my kitchen and would love to have it remodeled on someone elses' dime. LOL This tree though it HUGE and probably an original planted tree from the 1950's when the homes here were built. I can't imagine the damage it will do to our roof and whichever room it falls into.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope your home and yard is ok and the only lasting problem is the power which hopefully will be back on VERY soon.
OH and since this WAS supposed to be about a giveaway and awesome fabric ~ I would use that to make something for our granddaughter. She is 5 months old and along with her parents and their dogs just moved in with us so I get to spoil her all day long. YAY.
