  18. Cute Fabric! I first learned how to sew when I was 12 or so (about 10 years ago), but didn't really get much past the basics until I started sewing again about 2 years ago in college. I'm still no pro, but learning lots of things from blogs, tutorials, and just trying things out!

  54. I have been sewing since I was real small. My grandma taught me how to thread buttons on yarn so she could sew when I was real small and I learned a new skill each summer after that. I made my own clothes through most of middle school (wish it was cool then) and started quilting in high school. Pretty sure I have been sewing in some form 30 of my 36 years. I just wish I had taken the time to really learn what I was doing and mastered each skill instead of just learning each skill...that is my new goal.

  59. Love the fabric!And it's not something I would be drawn to, but when I stop and really look, it grabs me!
    I learned to sew in home ec in junior high. I was one of the lucky ones, and loved it! I bought a sewing machind when I got married in 1977, and have sewed, off and on, since. Not that I'm good. LOL!

  148. Lovely fabric collection! I started to teach myself to sew shortly after my daughter was born, and she just turned 3 in April. I would say it took me a few months to really grasp it, and now I LOVE to sew and wish there were more hours in the day so I could do it more often!

  152. I've been a crafter since I was a wee girl but the first time I sewed anything was when I was 18. But I only sewed one thing and didn't touch the machine again until I was nearly 28 and pregnant with my daughter. I haven't looked back since. :D

  156. What beautiful fabrics............My mama started me sewing when I was three, she would let me sit on her lap and guide the straight seams under the foot :) Fifty years later I am loving every minute of it. And so very thankful for all she taught me.
