This past weekend we experienced out first full "Unplugged" day together as a family of five. To sum it up quickly -- It was magical! I could write a thousand words to describe each moment or picture that I took, and maybe eventually I will, but for now I think our pictures do a wonderful job all on their own.
This picture truly does say it all!
What is Unplugged Sunday? Simply setting aside one day a week to revel in simple activities and be together as a family or with friends, without the distraction of the internet, television, cellphones, texting, etc.
If this is something that speaks to you -- You can read more about Unplugged Sunday here and follow along here. I have also added this info to my Join In page.
Wishing you all much joy as this week begins!
Lovely! So, does unplugged Sunday mean you can't plug in the sewing machine? Just kiddin. Sounds like a wonderful tradition!
ReplyDeleteBeing creative will be a huge part of our Unplugged Days, surely sewing will find a way into those rainy unplugged days at home. I think music is important too!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots...and what a great concept...I love family days like that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. :-)
is that a large cat out in that field? Or maybe it's a wolf--it's really cool that you were able to catch one in broad daylight!
ReplyDeleteRachel J -- It's a black bear!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I love the snake in the water!!!! It's so pretty, lucky you for seeing it!
ReplyDeleteunpluged sunday is a perfect idea. We had a 4 1/2 day power outage early this month after a tornado blew through. Amazing the togetherness and quality time having no power brought us.
ReplyDeletethis is so beautiful! and to see a bear too... don't you love how making your own version of unplugging is half the fun? :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a beautiful day. great idea to do for strengthening the family. Thanks for sharing.
