I used some of Anna Maria's Up All Night and Guest of Honor in navy and gold from her Garden Party Collection, a little Buttoned Up in Pomegranate from her Good Folks Collection, and some vintage Ric Rac and ribbon I picked up at my local thrift store. Notice the 8 yards for 8 cents, can you imagine!?
These two mother and daughter aprons were gifts for my sweet good-baking friend Cynthia and her beautiful daughter Hannah.
I knew once the first one was complete that these aprons are my new favorite things to make.
Oh, they just make me so happy...
I know my husband will be happy too --- between you and me, I think he was getting a little sick of all the pillow making. : )
Wishing you all a wonderful week! ~ Maureen
These aprons are super cute!
ReplyDelete:)
I LOVE a good apron, and those came out super cute!
ReplyDeleteNeato aprons! I think that it's great that you were able to get a great deal at the thrift shop! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks a million for the gorgeous aprons and the wonderful pictures. I'm so blessed to have as a friend!
ReplyDeleteThese are great Maureen! I will definitely have to give aprons a go soon! Cheers, Chrissy
ReplyDeleteMo....lovin' the aprons. If you get the chance, take a look at the book A is for Apron by Nathalie Mornu...half.com or amazon.com would probably have some cheap copies...lots of patterns in there that would be perfect for your fabric! Once my shifts at work are straightened out, I'm actually going to try and teach myself how to sew..my whole rationale is that if I can somewhat crochet and knit, sewing can't be that much more difficult!!!
ReplyDeleteI looooove them! (You know I have an obsession with aprons, too!)
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job.
oh my gosh i love them! im such a huge fan of mixtures in busy fabrics! so retro :D
ReplyDeleteAwwww, I totally see why they're your fave!

ReplyDeleteYah for fellow apron-making! Love those fabrics together too. Isn't that great about Anna - how her collections blend so well?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you're like me with your handmade pillows. I cringe if anyone sits on/steps on/lays on them. Yep, it drives my husband nuts. It's hard to have a live and let live attitude with them, no?
Oh they are sweet ! What a lovely gift : )
ReplyDeleteThank you friends, these were so easy to make! Feel free to email me if you want to make your own and have some questions : maureencracknell@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteThank you Danielle! I tried to leave you a comment, but I got an error? I'll wait a little bit and try again. :)
