My Creative Space : :

We've been spending lots of time this week at the pool cooling off. When I'm not swimming, I've been watching the kiddos poolside with my feet in the water and my hands busy knitting up lots of legs and arms for future dolls --- aliens, elves, elephants,  and oh yes - more owls.
I'd love to see what you are making, so feel free to add a link in the comments for me to visit you. For more on my creative space visit kootoyoo.

  3. that is a lot of arms & legs. But I bet once you get started on assembly they will be gone in a flash! Don't you hate that! lol Nice to have the parts stockpiled though. Lovely work.

  4. I love owls. I didn't know you could make up arms and such before hand. But I guess that makes sense. I wish I still had my pool. It was 109 degrees in my hometown in VA today.

  5. I do the same thing when I'm getting ready to sew up a storm. I trace all of my parts, cut my fabric, and sew all of the tiny embellishments. When it comes time to sew my toys I feel as though I'm making the toys at lightning speeds.

  7. Awww so cute!
I cut tons of felt appliques at once, and then line them all up for what I'm using them for. I'm working on remodeling my shop into all appliqued items--so I'm working on stocking up that shop. So exciting!!

  11. Thank you for the comments! And, oh how that bowl full of arms and legs has grown! I think the only work to be done this week - in this heat, is work that can be done poolside.

  13. Love your arms and legs! And nice that you can do them poolside! I've been sewing up a storm for a big 3 day fair in the park in a week's time so I'm feeling a little bagged out at the moment! : )

  14. Your knitting basket looks like it could walk away on its own. LOL
When I first saw the photo I thought you were creating a centipede...which might be kind of cute with tiny, little legs. :)
