My Creative Space : :
We've been spending lots of time this week at the pool cooling off. When I'm not swimming, I've been watching the kiddos poolside with my feet in the water and my hands busy knitting up lots of legs and arms for future dolls --- aliens, elves, elephants, and oh yes - more owls.

ReplyDeleteI love owls. I didn't know you could make up arms and such before hand. But I guess that makes sense. I wish I still had my pool. It was 109 degrees in my hometown in VA today.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing when I'm getting ready to sew up a storm. I trace all of my parts, cut my fabric, and sew all of the tiny embellishments. When it comes time to sew my toys I feel as though I'm making the toys at lightning speeds.

ReplyDeleteI cut tons of felt appliques at once, and then line them all up for what I'm using them for. I'm working on remodeling my shop into all appliqued items--so I'm working on stocking up that shop. So exciting!!
