Beginning : :

Yesterday as I cut and sewed with the strike offs of my first ever fabric collection, there was a flood of emotions and lots of tears as I realized, this is what it feels like to have you're wildest dream come true.

Arrow with Wild & Free

Fletching with Wild & Free

First quilt -- Wild & Free

Indie + Aurifil with Wild & Free

Wild & Free details

Woven Path -- strap scraps!

Feather with Wild & Free

Wild & Free flowers from Biz!

I have been so touched by the sweet comments and messages from those of you who have been following my blog throughout these past four years, and by the amazing generosity of those of you who have offered to help me create garments and bags and whatever else is needed as I prepare my Quilt Market booth. I'm going to cherish this experience even more just knowing how incredibly generous and considerate the people who make up this amazing sewing community are. This kind of kindness is far more beautiful than anything I could ever create with these fabrics. Thank YOU.

These are just a few peeks of yesterday's Wild & Free beginning, more soon!

Maureen

  10. Can't tell you how thrilled I am for you!!! I have been following for a while and your blog has been so inspirational to me, in so many ways!! Celebrating first my friend's Katarina Roccella's debut collection for AGF and now yours - just simply THRILLING!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I always loved AGF for both designs, quality and all the iinspirations but to see them so actively and positively championing young, new creative designers has added yet another layer of admiration and respect! Just love it!!
I love the colors of your line and great balance between some amazing graphic prints and some gentle whispering florals...It also has a certain ethnic appeal to me too... Just beautiful!
Of course, I am going to join an army of volunteers and offer any help you might need in sewing and Market prep - I enjoyed doing it for Katarina so much and would love to help you too, just let me know!!
Can't wait for more glimpses into all the creations you will do with these!
