So, this sounds like a perfect chance to cross that gorgeous new Holiday Quilt off your list, and to do it with lots of company, too!!

There is still plenty of time -- sewing will start on August 6th, with two blocks planned each week!     I have been trying to make some progress on my christmas quilt for the past two or three years but once I am in the christmas mood, there are orders to fill and presents to sew, so I never get to sew on my quilt :) And I can't bring myself to work on christmassy stuff in the summer...

    This year for the holidays I will be finishing 7 quilts that my sister started for her grandchildren. My sister passed away May 31st of this year and before she died she asked if I would finish the quilts. Of course I said yes.

    I'm hoping to finish a special eagle quilt for my son stationed in Afghanistan. He's due home at the end of August and hasn't seen his little girl since December when she was 2 1/2 months old. This quilt would help to immortalize his tour of duty and service to our country.
