I added the stitching to this little project I had shared on Monday. Since I snapped this photo it's come a l-o-n-g way! Her and a three other sketch-stitchy appliqued quilt blocks have made up what will be my my second quilt top. I am so excited about it! I need to add a border to what I have so far, in a solid color (which I don't have yet) and then I'll be ready to take more photos.
You might remember this little project I shared way back on the 1st of September?! In it's previous wip state it received lots of love here and on Flickr. And I was so happy with it, I just left it alone and forgot about it altogether. Although long overdue, finally I decided it was time to be finished!
It was made with Celebrate Color in mind. The colors feel so very Fall to me. The fabric for the back was actually chosen with this poem in mind, "Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower." Isn't that pretty!
There has been much progress with my Birthday Crown orders, too. With these, that old saying "When it rains, it pours" totally applies. I enjoy making them still, so it's all good! When you see that they've disappeared from my shop and in that little sidebar etsy ad over there to your right, you'll know. Yup, I've had enough. :)
This one is my new, new favorite. Do you think it's possible for me to fit one more thing on this little crown? I mean really! And, it's reversible!
It's amazing how much time I have spent sewing lately. Thankfully, no one seems to mind. (Can you hear me knocking on wood!)
Have a lovely Wednesday, everyone!
