Pinch Me : :

I'm so excited to share these photos today!! I had the great pleasure of designing this quilt for Pat Bravo's Indie video and photo shoot! What a honor to see something I've made, photographed so beautifully! And, to also see it shared in such an amazing video is so special for me and my family!

Have a look...

Once this quilt top is back in my hands, I plan to finish it and draft up my very first quilt pattern to share here. I can't wait!!

This quilt is a generous queen size, and the combination of these cool, colorful Indie fabrics with the modern, large patchwork design is making me want to redo my entire bedroom! Vintage + Modern is my exact style!!

I really love this approach to quilt making. I have always been drawn to symmetry in all aspects of design and honestly, creating a quilt free of making the same block over and over is something I'm a fan of as well! How about you?? I'm hoping it's something you'll like to try!

I've really missed blogging!! I'll be back in just over a week with my daily makings, and tomorrow with a new Fabric Giveaway with the Fat Quarter Shop! See you then, friends!   Maureen

  8. Such a lovely quilt! I agree with you...while it can be fun to make a quilt block by block, sometimes it's more fun to improvise a bit more with a big design!

  22. Hi Maureen -- I LOVE this quilt and can't wait for the pattern to get finished. Would you be able to share how much yardage this quilt might take, for example one yard of each different pattern, etc.? I'd love to purchase the fabric but have no idea approximately how much this particular quilt might take. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
