here about her Mother and a family kite named Tilly. I really encourage each of you to take the time to

ReplyDeleteHappy Blog-iversary :) I don't think I can pick a favorite thing I've made... I've just started sewing again last year -- you know mom did it much better, why go through the trouble ;).... fun to rediscover fabrics and the joy of creating. Great ideas here!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Love your blog and your work!
ReplyDeleteI've been blogging for a year and quilting for about the same time.
I love all these fabrics! I have been sewing since I was 15 years old and am now an almost 47 year old (birthday in just a few weeks!). Both my grandmothers quilted and sewed and one did many types of crafts. I have always had a love of making something with my own hands.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your great blog!
I love these fabrics! I have been sewing for over 10 years but just started marketing myself on Etsy just over a year ago. ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your blogversary! I've been sewing for years since I was quite little and come to your blog to be inspired, but my favourite make was not a sewn thing but a wooden hinged device to help my mum clean under the beds that I gave her for Christmas when I was about 8. I'm not sure I would have appreciated it in her shoes!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations -- that is wonderful!!! Love this fabric line -- the colors are what I wear for clothes all the time :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and prints. Keep the ideas blooming. Thank you . Wished there were more who gave chances to win prises.

What a stunning story!
ReplyDeleteI've been sewing for many years now, but REALLY go going after my daughter was born. Although I wish I had figured it all out earlier so I could have made her a coming home dress, one of my proudest creations has been for my niece's naming ceremony.
The question just made me realize that I have been sewing for fifty years. I can't believe it's been that long but I can still remember the first thing I made. At ten years old I made a hand stitched skirt in orange paisley print. All the rage in the sixties! I appreciate the current trend toward organic cotton. I'm so old I remember when everything was polyester and 100% cotton was hard to find. Thank you for the chance to win these beautiful examples. Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary- I'm on my 4th year of blogging now and only a few off 500 posts, amazing since I could never keep a diary as a kid!
Happy Anniversary! Beautiful fabric! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Anniversary! I've been blogging for about 2 months and it's been alot of fun! It's given me a little push to get more projects done because I have an audience to show them to :) I'm just a novice sewer, but I love to do simple projects and sewing crafts.
ReplyDeleteI started sewing when I was a kid. My mother taught me to quilt when I was about 12. I never really stuck with it and then picked it back up when I was 27. I've been hooked ever since. I need to get on the blogging thing, though. I started one but just never really gave it a serious go. Then again, I started it when I was pregnant with my son and after having a newborn around, I didn't have a whole lot of time to be blogging.
ReplyDeleteI think my most favorite is the first quilt I ever made and it was for my cats!
ReplyDeleteI love the ugli dolls I made my girls for Fhristmas, they play with them all the time:)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog-iversary! The Tilly prints are just lovely, I'm coming up on my 1st blog-iversary this month! :o) xx

ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! My favourite thing is always the last one I've done, so right now it's a quilt I made as a Christmas present for my mother.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful fabrics, terrific giveaway!
These fabrics look so clean and lovely. Congrats on the Blog-Versary! I have been sewing since 7yrs old. My Mother knitted but I just went straight for fabric and began dressmaking for dollies and then me and then my Mum and then my kids... I am most proud of a smocked Christening outfit for my only Grandson last year. I enjoy my quilts but seeing my loved ones in my clothes excites me too.
ReplyDeleteI was looking through Pinterest and found your blog. I'm so excited! I looked through your blog and fell in love with everything. I've been looking for websites just like yours. I too am a stay at home mom except for driving a bus route. It allows me to get out a little and I started it when my kids were little for a little extra money. My kids are now 16, 14 and almost 10. I am 35 and have been sewing since I was a freshmen in high school, but once I got out of high school I pretty much quit. I'm getting back into now and absolutely love it. I just finished my first quilt for my daughter's bedroom. Since then I've finished a few smaller projects and have been looking for more. I love websites like yours and find them very inspiring. It's also nice to know there are so many others who love to sew also. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and talents. I will definitely be revisiting your blog.
ReplyDeleteSo Pretty, wouldn't those make a lovely quilt?

ReplyDeleteI taught myself to sew on my mother's treadle sewing machine when I was in seventh grade. One thing always leads to another, bringing out the artistic talent I was unaware. The most beautiful thing-s I have made are my daughters First Communion dress and now my two granddaughters Christening gowns. Truly, beautiful and everyday I say a prayer of gratitude to the Lord for his gift!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog-iversary! I've only been blogging (well, craft blogging) since the end of August :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to hear you dedicated this fabric line to your mother. The colours and patterns are so pretty to remember this way. I think if I win them I'd use them in such a way to remember mine.

I began learning to quilt almost 2 years ago after the death of my husband. I need to fill the time so I wouldn't just sit and feel lonely. It takes a lot of my time as I seem to be a slow learner!...but that is good.
ReplyDeleteI have been learning to sew over the past year and a half...I will say that one thing I learned was to breath and make best friends with the thread picker. haha :)

These fabrics are beautiful! I'm actually new to the sewing world, haven't figured out what my first project will be, but finding lots of inspiration on your blog!!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogaversary!!! These fabrics are beautiful... thank you for an opportunity to win them. I've been sewing and crafting ever since I was a little girl - that would be over 50 years ago. My grandmother passed on to me the love of handmade things and taught me. Those lessons have stayed with me all this time and I have since passed them on to my daughter and granddaughters as well. Nothing gives me as much pleasure as giving a handmade gift! Be blessed...
ReplyDeletei started quilting a few years ago - still so much to learn but i love it! happy 2 years to you!!
ReplyDeleteSo impressed with all you have done --keep inspiring us all-and being so personal.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2nd Blog-iversary!!! I learned to embroider when I was about 5...I learned from my Mom. I have been quilting for about 15 years. I started out with miniature quilts, and recently started to hand quilt again. I have had 2 strokes, and didn't think I could grip a needle, but I did! My
ReplyDeletemost favorite project was the last quilt I made. It was called Grandma's
Kitchen. It was mostly applique, and I hand quilted it. It's the first
quilt that I have done since recovering from my strokes.
Happy Blogiversary! I have been sewing for about 2 years now and blogging for only the past 4 months. I have gotten so much help and inspiration from the online sewing community since beginning my sewing/blogging adventure and I have really enjoyed getting to read your blog especially! Here's to many more years. :)
ReplyDeleteI have made a few things, but to be honest I would give this to my sister if I won. She is the Martha! She loves to sew, in fact she is having a baby in May. ReplyDeleteI'm addicted lately to finding complimentary fabrics using fat quarters (in random stores) that people would not ordinarily connect together. I'm finding inspiration with Pinterest - OH the possibilities!

I'm a little person and a lot of my clothing need to be customized for my size (hemming and etc). But I've also gotten into making bags, quilts and some baby-toddler clothing.
