Emmy Grace Plans : :

It's the first day of the new school year. My children have been so excited which makes it all so much easier, and I'm equally ready to get back to a schedule! Here they are -- my 2nd, 5th, & 6th graders! Oh, how time flies!!

It's the first day of school: 2nd, 5th, & 6th grade!! They are so excited!!

Today I plan to clean my oddly quiet house, but first I'm going to treat myself to finally cutting into my beautiful stack of Emmy Grace fabrics from Bari J.!

Emmy Grace by Bari J.

I plan to remake my Winter's Garden quilt, to draft the pattern to offer once I finish!

Another pretty quilt back from Sew shabby Quilting!

I've been waiting for just the right fabric collection to come along to make these quilt blocks again, and I think Emmy Grace is it!

Winter's Garden Blocks!

How about you, what are you working on these days?

  5. I love the Emmy Grace fabrics. I backed my new granddaughter's quilt with the fawn day .... would love to have the entire collection, but I'm sort of on a 'fabric diet' right now. LOL.

  11. Love Emmy Grace and I think that is the perfect block for that line. I'm making a Giant Star quilt for my husband using NFL Steeler fabric. I'm also using the qayg technique and will do stitch in the ditch for the backing. I'm quite excited about it. I'm doing free motion quilting on each block to practice and I'm having a lot of fun. I really would like to get creative and do something like your arrows on a plain canvas. Now if I just had all the time to do everything. LOL

  12. School is in the air on this side of the Atlantic too - I had to take my son (16) to visit his 6th form college today, which he starts on the 4th Sept! Wish he was still like yours and hadn't grown up so fast!!! Still, I consoled myself with a bit of string quilt therapy this afternoon! Love the new blocks you've made - looks like lovely fabric :)

  13. Cute kids. Do your boys sew?

    I find it interesting how you guys start the school year mid-year. I imagine it is because there is a long Summer holiday in the middle of the year. It is the middle of term 3 here in Australia. We have our long Summer holidays over the end and start of the year (the Christmas and New Year period).The school year normally starts up again towards the end of January.

    I'm working on a quilt that was inspired by an office chair :) Have fun with your Emmy Grace fabric.

  16. I think your choice is spot on for your fabric. As for me, I'm making quilts for Christmas. The family has grown over that past year as two sets of twins were born. Can you say proud grandma! Two quilts down and two to go. Thank heaven it is only August.

  20. HOW MIKE LARRY LOAN FIRM GRANTED ME A BUSINESS LOAN!!!
    Hello everyone, I am Evans Torttor from USA and want to use this medium to express gratitude to MIKE LARRY for fulfilling his promise by granting me a loan, i was stuck in a financial situation and needed to refinance and pay my bills as well as start up a Business. I tried seeking for loans from various loan firms both private and corporate organizations but never succeeded and most banks declined my credit request. But as God would have it, i was introduced by a friend named Esther to MIKE LARRY LOAN FIRM and undergone the due process of obtaining a loan from the company, to my greatest surprise within 48hrs just like my friend Esther said, i was also granted a loan of $387,000.00 USD; So my advise to everyone who desires a loan, "if you must contact any firm with reference to securing a loan online with low interest rate of 3% and better repayment plans/schedule, please contact MIKE LARRY LOAN FIRM. Besides, he doesn't know that am doing this but due to the joy in me, i'm so happy and wish to let people know more about this great company whom truly give out loans, it is my prayer that GOD should bless them more as they put smiles on peoples faces. You can contact them via email on {mikelarryloanfirmworldwide@yahoo.com}
