I've been busy making Birthday Crowns! Sometimes making all these crowns can seem pretty repetitive, particularly my most popular crown style. Then other times, the variety of cute applique opportunities I receive is so, SO fun and enjoyable! These are the orders that seem to come at just the right time, giving me the relief I need from the monotony!

Today, I'm feeling caught up just enough to work on my Carnaby Quilt. I do have two, new quilt ideas completely planned out -- a solids quilt made with only Pure Elements and another with Shelburne Falls, that I can not wait to begin!
How about you, what are you working on this week? ♥, Maureen

Love the crowns... they are adorable!
ReplyDeleteWow, Maureen! Those are fantastic! Do you use wool or acrylic craft felt when you're making something like this?
ReplyDeleteI use a high quality wool blend felt, it comes in a beautiful range of colors! I actually just recently started selling this same felt I use to make these crowns and my applique pillows, in my etsy shop!
DeleteJust adorable! Beautiful work, Maureen!
ReplyDeleteLove all your crowns! That owl is too cute! The cute elements of your crowns would be great fridge magnets.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pam!! I was thinking they'd be cute applique for shirts, as pins maybe, or even ornaments! :)
DeleteOOoooooh yes I bet they would make great ornaments! LOVE the owl. :-)
DeleteI LOOOOVE Sophie's! My stepdaughter Allie would love that with the raccoon. That's her nickname. Wonder if that's appropriate for a 25 year old! LOL
ReplyDeleteHer birthday is next week. :)
Love love love the owl and fox. I want an owl pillow!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the new fox/owl combo! So sweet.
ReplyDeleteYay for fun variety! I'm working on my first totally improv quilt, that I'm hoping to enter into my very first competition...
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome, I am working on a table runner. It will be finished when I can work out how to put the binding on certain corners...I did point on point & I am not sure how to go around the inner corners...
ReplyDeleteThat little police care is just the cutest, and I love the bows on the fox and owl!
ReplyDeleteMaureen, you are just brilliant in your crown designs!! They are all so cute, and you do such a good job on them! Love your little owl, the train, the birds and flowers: I haven't seen one that I don't like! The only thing I can't figure out is how you have time to make them, be a mommy, keep your house clean, and do other sewing!! Is it coffee, or just natural energy! :-) Have a great weekend!! Hugs, Helen in Healdsburg
ReplyDeleteBasically I'm working 60-80 hours a week at home to avoid having to work a 40 hour a week job, that I couldn't possibly love as much, away from the home! LOL It feels crazy lately, but I do still love it!!
DeleteThey are super cute Maureen!!!!
ReplyDeleteI always love to watch pics of them!!!
Have a nice week end!
Dany.
