Perfect Autumn Sewing : :

This little fox was the perfect thing for me to sew, right now. Orange & pink is such a fun combination and one of my favorites when it comes to shopping and making for little girls!

I'm not sure who this fox pillow is for, it was a custom order that just happened to come at just the right time!

Foxy Pillow Cover

After I finished the pillow, I moved right onto making my most favorite crown of crowns!

Garden Crown

They look pretty together, I think!

Pillow & Crown

Yesterday, I went to pick up some sewing supplies and flannel for scarf making, and decided to experiment a little. I brought home a yard of each cozy blue flannel, super soft off-white fleece, and some gray sweatshirt material to combine with my new Art Gallery voiles. I plan to use my Simple Scarf Tutorial for lots of holiday gift scarf making very soon!

Scarf Plans

I'll be sure to show those off once I do, and I can't wait to see and share how the voile and these three different materials stitch up together.

How about, what are working on these days?! I would love to hear!!

Gorgeous!! I'll be interested to hear how you get on with those fabrics - I could do with one of each with this cold weather! ;)

Thank you Stacey! Each time I make one I think, "I really need and should be making many more of these!" It was just the happy sewing fix I needed today!

I just relooked at your scarf pattern. Did you use the flannel for warmth or for weight? I'm in Central Texas and I might melt if I used flannel!

Hi Lisa! I used a light weight flannel, for warmth and comfort. The voile is super buttery soft and the flannel is cozy. I thought it was a nice combo and I love the weight of the finished scarf for Fall and for layering in the Winter months. I wear a lot of wool, living in North Western Pa, so the scarf feels a little light to me!

Such a cute wee cushion, and love all the crowns from today and yesterday. So sorry about the move, hope it pulls itself together ASAP for you!

Looking forwards to seeing how the scarves pan out, I've been eyeing up some jersey for possibilities...

Still love that fox pillow! I am working on remaking an old quilt, so I can write a tutorial. Fabric is cut, and now I just need to carve out the time!

So cute!!

I'm currently working on holiday gifts and may be up for Sister In Law of the Year if my BIL's quilt turns out right, but it's looking good so far. Who knew The Punisher could be made into a quilt? LOL. Boys.

Remember that scarf you made a while back? Ive been wanting to try one so today I found a charm pack full of florals and baby blues that I will sew together into a strip, then back with some soft cotton or minky or flannel or velvet for my Moms Christmas gift. She always appreciates a handmade gift! LOVE the fox and your black thread "sketching" to outline your shapes!
