ReplyDeleteI just finished the last of the "need in the next month" baby quilts for friends so I am about to cut into fabric for fun. Yes, as usual, it will be for someone (my son is staying with a family this summer while he works out of state) but the deadline isn't unbearable so the creating will be fun. Plus, since I don't know their tastes I chose Christmas fabrics (Joy by Kate Spain). Can't wait until in the morning when I can pull out the rotary cutter!

I need to get going on a baby quilt for our little one on the way! christina112358 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteTerrific patterns & colors of your fabrics on your home page.
ReplyDeleteI also love your aprons, they have so much character. I am a painter and get my clothes full of paint so I'd have to sew an apron that I won't feel sorry for.
On another blog I saw a shortcut for people who want to make pillow covers.
You sew together 2 quilted table mats bought or home made. Bed Bath & Beyond hand some beautiful French Provincial yellow floral quilted table mats, which I cut up to make cell phone covers for my kids Tracfone LG505C smart phones, so that they wouldn't scratch their touch screens. It was quick to make, I got 2 phone covers out of 1 dinner table mat. If one of these phones had to fall on to concrete I would have to replace the whole phone, but even though they cost $90 ea, at least we got free triple minutes on these phones.
I know I'm a bit of a lazy sewer, but I'm going to make a nook cover next out of a quilted table mat just to see what it will look like.
What a great giveaway - count me in!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower here too!
