Riley Blake Design Team Project & GIVEAWAY!!

Today I'm SO excited to be sharing a new project for the Riley Blake Design Team!!

Quilted Chevron Tote Bag tutorial

This step by step tutorial is for making a Quilted Chevron Tote bag, using very simple instructions, Riley Blake's new Chevron fabric collection, that's casual and useful. You can take this method of tote bag making and go crazy with your own ideas, just by adding a few steps.

Well, now it's a Quilted Chevron Tote Bag! A bag that's soft and easy, perfect for shopping, the beach or pool, and for washing after much use!

I really hope you like this tutorial! You can get very creative using this method of tote bag making. You can swap out the batting for interfacing, to create a sturdier bag, add pockets, appliques, magnetic closures for a fancier version, etc.. The possibilities are really endless!! My project will be up on their blog later this morning, they are a few hours behind those of us on the East Coast, so be sure to stop by and check it out later this morning!

    Oooh love this tote bag, great job! I actually need to make one for myself for summer outings and travel. Great idea. Other things I need to stitch: dining room chair cushions. I've been procrastinating but Feather Your Nest is coming to an end, so I have to get busy.

    My sewing hasn't been much lately as the outdoors has been calling but I recently decorated my mantle for Spring and I need a banner for it.     Wow chevrons galore! The bag looks great. I'm hoping to make one of those AMH pin cushion caddies for my mother in law (an avid quilter) for Mother's Day. Now that I think of it, these chevrons would look pretty cool on that... :)
