Color Inspiration & An Aurifil GIVEAWAY : :

Tangerine, oranges, and coral really are everywhere these days, aren't they? I love it! It's such a happy, vibrant color. I am especially loving it paired with purple! When putting together this new mosaic, I had to search for another colorful house. That purple one was pinned just a little less than a million times I think! Thanks Michael!!

With all this gorgeous color, I thought today would be the perfect day to giveaway some lovely, very colorful threads!

I have been enjoying Aurifil threads to use in my own projects for a couple of weeks now. I can honestly say, that threads really do make a huge difference, especially when they come in colors as brilliant as these!

  7. I do the majority of my piecing with gray Aurifil. I'm using up the remainder of the others and have found a huge difference in the consistency of my stitches. I don't know what they do different, but they do it well!

  16. Not only do I love Aurifil thread... but my machine absolutely sings with delight when I use it! Favorites include mustardy yellow, pinks and rust colors. Did you say one favorite? Yikes, not sure I can do that. :0)

  29. I use more beige than any other color thread in making quilts, but love bright colors! Have to say that tangerine collection is absolutely stunning--my kitchen is tangerine and it is one of my favorite colors!

  36. I'm sorry I neglected to give the answer on thread color. I deleted my first comment to redo it again. Oops.

    My favorite thread color is a great, almost brighter leaf green which I use quite often while embroidering. For me to say anything other than purple is funny since anytime I'm asked about color I'll usually say purple. lol
    I'm so jealous of all your orange fabrics. Just beautiful. Thank you and Aurifil.

I used to think I loved green but after reorganizing my sewing room I have discovered that I must love red as much as green for I have bins of reds in all colors, hues, patterns, etc. I have red batiks and florals too that just scream for me to make something out of them. I must love red because of my rose garden. I have lots of red roses in all hues and shades too! So red must be the color I love the most!

This year's color, Tangerine Tango would have been such a stretch for me some years ago...but through quilting and amazing creativity of others I am SO expanding my horizons of colors!! :) And Aurifil is the best too - thanks for the chance!
