I must have been inspired by all of the aprons I have been seeing lately ---
here,
here, and of course
here --- because late Saturday night, during an incredible lightning storm, I decided to give it a go.
I used some of
Anna Maria's Up All Night and Guest of Honor in
navy and
gold from her
Garden Party Collection, a little
Buttoned Up in Pomegranate from her
Good Folks Collection, and some vintage Ric Rac and ribbon I picked up at my local thrift store.
Notice the 8 yards for 8 cents, can you imagine!?
These two mother and daughter aprons were gifts for my sweet good-baking friend
Cynthia and her beautiful daughter Hannah.
I knew once the first one was complete that
these aprons are my new favorite things to make.
Oh, they just make me so happy...
I know my husband will be happy too --- between you and me, I think he was getting a little sick of all the pillow making. : )

Mo....lovin' the aprons. If you get the chance, take a look at the book A is for Apron by Nathalie Mornu...half.com or amazon.com would probably have some cheap copies...lots of patterns in there that would be perfect for your fabric! Once my shifts at work are straightened out, I'm actually going to try and teach myself how to sew..my whole rationale is that if I can somewhat crochet and knit, sewing can't be that much more difficult!!!

Those apron's are supe cute. Add a back to them and they would make great skirts. Great fabric, have fun creating.

I wonder if you're like me with your handmade pillows. I cringe if anyone sits on/steps on/lays on them. Yep, it drives my husband nuts. It's hard to have a live and let live attitude with them, no?
